Call Number Outline
The Marlowe Library uses the Library of Congress (LC) Classification System to organize the books on the shelves.
Click here to see a basic LC Classification Outline to find call numbers in your subject area. This outline also helps you to get a more detailed break-down of the classification system.
Information on the LC system is also found on the ends of shelving in the library. Subject areas on the particular shelves are listed.

Citing Sources
The Marlowe Library recommends the use of the KnightCite Citation Service, which uses the latest editions of citation formats. The link is in the Quick Links column of this page.

Help from Library Staff
Library staff provides assistance and instruction in the following areas:
• Using the Marlowe Library catalog
• Research advice
• Locating articles and documents
• Using journal indexes (on-line and paper)
• Database search strategies
The Marlowe Library provides several databases, including JSTOR, EBSCOHost, Ebrary, and AGORA. In-person assistance is usually available from Sunday – Thursday at 8:00 – 20:00.
During Ramadan, library assistance may operate under modified hours.
